Boonville man accused of violent Columbia robbery

A Boonville man is accused of going on a violent stealing spree in Columbia.

Marquan Pitre, 18, was booked into jail early Monday morning, on robbery, assault, and property damage charges.

Investigators say he went in a residence at Katy Place Apartments on Forum Boulevard on Sunday, claiming he wanted to buy a PlayStation. He allegedly attacked the seller though, and stole the gaming system and more. Then he allegedly went back 20 minutes later and took a laptop.

Officers also say he smashed a car window on Paris Road south of Vandiver on Sunday, with the idea of taking stuff.

Alexis Morris, 18, was also arrested on Sunday by CPD. Investigators say she drove to the apartment on Forum with Pitre the second time he went in, but she did not go inside with him.
