UPDATE: CPD says one detained after shooting near McDonald’s in south Columbia; two reportedly shot

UPDATE: Columbia Police say one person has been detained after Sunday afternoon’s shooting near the McDonald’s on Nifong. Police say “no other suspects are outstanding at this time.”

HERE IS BRIAN’S ORIGINAL STORY:

Crime scene tape has been placed around the McDonald’s on Columbia’s Nifong after an incident this (Sunday) afternoon. Our news partner KMIZ quotes Columbia Police on-scene as saying two people have been shot, with one victim suffering life-threatening injuries.

939 the Eagle’s LG Patterson reports there’s a large police presence at the restaurant that includes Columbia Police, Boone County Sheriff’s deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol staff. Mr. Patterson, who is on-scene, sees three ambulances and two fire trucks at McDonald’s.
