Bullet holes in Columbia restaurant window; no injuries after a suspect and CPD officer exchange gunfire

Columbia Police say there were no injuries in Saturday night’s incident outside a downtown restaurant, when a suspect exchanged gunfire with an officer.

It happened at about 11:20 on Saturday night, near the Gold Bar restaurant on Broadway.

Reporter Ben Fein at our news partner ABC-17 reports there are bullet holes in the front windows at the Gold Bar. KMIZ quotes CPD as saying the officer exchanged gunfire with the suspect, after the 51-year-old suspect fired shots.

The suspect has been arrested for several charges, including felon in possession of a firearm.
