Callaway County deputies have arrested an undocumented immigrant.
They pulled over Carlos Lozano-Hernandez, 42, on County Road 269 for a traffic violation Thursday morning.
During the traffic stop, deputies said they noticed inconsistencies in his residency status, and arrested him for driving without a license.
Eventually, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents got involved and confirmed that Hernandez wasn’t compliant with federal immigration laws.
He’s being held without bond in the Callaway County Jail and is set to be transferred to federal custody.
