The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney Stephen Abbott, 39, Monday with child abuse and tampering with a victim.
The department did not release many details beyond that the investigation happened in Holts Summit on March 3.
Deputies worked in conjunction with the Missouri Children’s Division.
Abbott has already posted the $10,000 bond.
Deputies want to remind people that they can report suspected child abuse and neglect anonymously to the state Child Abuse and Neglect hotline by calling 800-392-3738.
