Capitol Region officials warn of strain on hospital resources

You might find long lines at the drive-up COVID-19 testing sites in Jefferson City. Capital Region Medical Center’s Dr. Randall Haight says he’s very busy.

“We are having between 200-300 patients go through, and a month ago we were probably having half that.”

As of last week, Capital Region was treating 44 virus patients. Both hospitals have about 100 beds, but Haight says he is looking to add bed space.
