Wednesday’s heavy rains and inclement weather forced the postponement of last night’s game at Busch between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Royals.
The teams will play a split doubleheader Thursday, with the first game starting at 12:45 pm and game two beginning at 6:45. This will be the fifth doubleheader this season for St. Louis, due to the active spring severe weather season.
The Royals won the opening game of the three-game series 10-7 Tuesday evening. The Cardinals are 33-27, four-and-a-half games behind the first-place Cubs in the National League’s Central division. Kansas City is 32-29, seven-and-a-half games behind first-place Detroit in the American League Central.
