City council to vote on SRO plan for Columbia Public Schools

Columbia’s city council will vote Monday night on bringing back school resources officers for Columbia Public Schools.

The measure would assign four officers to Columbia’s three public high schools. The district has gone without SRO’s after its contract with the city ran out in 2020 because of financial reasons.

The city council will also hear a first reading on new ward boundaries during its meeting at 7 p.m. Monday night
