A Clark woman dies in a crash involving an 18-wheeler on Highway 63.
The patrol says Betty Smith, 88, tried to cross the southbound lanes of 63 at Route CC near Sturgeon at around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. That’s when her car hit an 18-wheeler, causing both vehicles to veer off the road.
Smith was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the 18-wheeler, Wesley Odden, suffered minor injuries.
