Cole County reported 12th COVID-19 death

Cole County reported another COVID-19 death Thursday. The county has reported 12 deaths and two in the last two days.

A record-high 48 new coronavirus cases was also reported in Cole County Thursday. Active cases are up to 153.

Callaway County added 43 new coronavirus cases Thursday. Active cases went up a lot, to 155. Six more cases were released from isolation Thursday.

Active coronavirus cases dropped for third straight day in Boone County. There were 81 new positives on Thursday, but 150 were released from isolation. There are now 963 active cases of the virus. Hospitalizations in Boone County stayed at a record-high of 52, but stay well below capacity.

Mizzou active student cases are also down a little, to 624. The school added a revision to its new mask policy Thursday, saying that people who are alone and socially distant from others do not need to wear a mask. People on campus are required to wear one in most other situations.

Missouri added 1,116 coronavirus cases on Thursday. There were 18 more COVID-19 deaths, for a total of 1,691. The statewide seven-day positivity rate on coronavirus tests dropped a little to 12.7%.
