Cole clerk reports no issues so far with added absentee voting

It’s been smooth sailing so far with absentee ballots at the Cole County Clerk’s office.

Steve Korsmeyer says lots of folks have been voting early since the process began. He does not predict any problems in his office on election night.

“I don’t think so in Cole County. In some of the bigger counties, yes there probably will be. They have almost ten times the workload we would have.”

Korsmeyer says about 200 voters a day cast ballots in person in his office.
