He was a free man for nearly 30 years after an alleged killing. Now William “Chris” Niemet is back on the streets.
Niemet is the man arrested in March on charges he shot and killed 14-year-old Greg Jones in 1991 in Russellville. Jones’ body was found a couple months later by a neighbor.
ABC 17 reports Niemet posted a $1 million cash-only bond on Monday. He is due back in court on Sept. 16.
