A mid-Missouri woman is alive Friday morning thanks to a dose of Narcan.
Cole County deputies found her not breathing and turning blue Tuesday night, showing signs of an opiate overdose.
She began breathing again after one dose prior to EMS arrival.
Deputies just began carrying the life-saving drug this week. They had trained for a month on the proper way to administer Narcan to an overdose patient.
