Cole County deputies will carry Narcan

Now another Mid-Missouri law enforcement agency will soon be carrying the anti–opioid overdose drug Narcan.

Cole County Sheriff John Wheeler says a local emergency room manager convinced him that his deputies should carry and administer the drug.

Currently, ambulance crews, State Troopers and police agencies like CPD carry Narcan.
