You might have to be a little more patient with the plow truck drivers this winter.
“We actually had several employees out over the last couple weeks with [COVID-19],” Cole County Public Works Director Eric Landwehr says. “Looking back on that, it would have been a really bad deal if that would have happened and we were right in the middle of the snow season.”
Landwehr says part-time drivers are lined up to help if needed, but a smaller workforce means it may take longer to get to your road during a snow storm.
Landwehr moved up from county engineer to public works director after Larry Benz retired.
