Cole County murder suspect wants some evidence ruled inadmissible

The man charged with killing a Cole County classmate 30 years ago wants evidence suppressed from his upcoming trial.

William “Chris” Niemet was arrested years later in the death of 14-year-old Greg Jones in 1991. His attorneys want DNA evidence and a lie detector test ruled inadmissible.

Niemet was 15 at the time of the shooting.
