Cole County is setting up a semi-permanent vaccination clinic at Capital Mall, but it won’t come cheap.
Presiding Commissioner Sam Bushman says officials were actually very limited in what kind of space would work.
“They did give us a discount. It’s $10,000 a month, which seems high, but…we were looking at $5,000 for a much older building that wasn’t ADA [compliant].”
The clinic will open Monday, Apr. 12, in what was Party City at the Jefferson City mall. It is open to anyone to 13 counties in mid-Missouri. Bushman says the plan is to administer 4,000 shots a week. Sign up through the state’s website.
