Cole County woman dies after being hit by train

A Cole County woman is dead after she’s hit by a train.

The Highway Patrol says Kelly Stevens was walking on the tracks close to Lookout Trail near her native Centertown at about 11 a.m. Wednesday when she got hit.

Stevens was 46 years old.
