Cole County EMS is getting two new state of the art ambulances. Chief Matt Lindewirth says the new units are being built in Canada. They will cost more than $200,000 each.
“It’s an ER on wheels, right? And so, if you think about how much it costs to build a new hospital, or add on to an emergency room, they can get expensive.”
Lindewirth says Cole EMS is also upgrading the 12 ambulances already in service, adding new stretchers, medical equipment and communications gear.
