Columbia and mid-Missouri could see heavy rain and damaging winds Thursday evening

While the tornado threat is low, the National Weather Service (NWS) says Columbia and mid-Missouri could see heavy rain and strong winds Thursday night.

NWS St. Louis meteorologist Matt Beitscher tells 939 the Eagle that heavy rains and damaging winds are possible in mid-Missouri between 6 pm and midnight. Mr. Beitscher says the tornado threat in mid-Missouri is low.
