More than eight inches of rain have fallen in Columbia in April.
National Weather Service (NWS) St. Louis meteorologist Lydia Jaja says Columbia Regional Airport (COU) has recorded 8.08 inches of rain this month. Ms. Jaja tells 939 the Eagle that Columbia normally has 4.51 inches of rain at this point in April.
She also says Columbia Regional Airport has recorded 12.31 inches of rain since March 1, which is about five inches above the normal average.
Other mid-Missouri towns have recorded similar rainfall numbers.
