A Columbia arson victim is getting a nearly $3 million reward from a jury.
Marcia Green’s home near Rock Quarry Road and Grindstone caught fire while she was inside in 2014.
ABC 17 reports a jury last week awarded Green $2.5 million in punitive damages, $150,000 for property damage, and $100,000 for personal injuries.
Mehrdad Fotoohighiam is responsible for the payments. He allegedly paid an employee to set the fire. He’s in jail on charges of arson, conspiracy to commit murder, and attempted murder.
