One person is behind bars after a bank robbery in Columbia.
CPD told out news partner ABC 17 the suspect entered the Academic Employees Credit Union on Ash Street near stadium and Broadway and hit one victim and got away.
It’s unclear whether a weapon was used in the crime.
A trooper spotted a man matching description of the Academic Emp. Credit Union robbery suspect at Petro Mart on Stadium. Suspect took off on foot & trooper gave chase. At 145 pm, suspect was arrested without incident behind the old Toys R Us building on Berrnadette. Great job!

Later, a highway patrol trooper spotted the man at a nearby gas station and gave chase. The suspect was arrested a short time later.
