Columbia car crashes into woodchipper

A Columbia man has serious injuries after a crash involving a woodchipper.

Landon Albertson was the passenger in a car on Tom Bass Road south of Meyer Industrial Blvd. at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. A pickup hauling a woodchipper was stopped on the side of the road with mechanical issues. The car slammed into the woodchipper.

Albertson, 44, was taken to the hospital. So was the driver, 27-year-old Lacey Sterling. She has moderate injuries.
