A Columbia man charged with five counts of child molestation and numerous other child sex crimes is back in Boone County Circuit Court this afternoon.
Boone County prosecutors have charged 40-year-old David Walter Nacarato with 13 felony counts, including five counts of child molestation and four counts of statutory sodomy. Nacarato is set to appear in court today at 2:30 before Judge Kevin Crane.
Graphic court documents say the suspect allegedly used a chain to restrain one of his victims, a kindergartner at the time. The Columbia Police Department’s heavily-redacted probable cause statement also alleges that Nacarato’s cell phone included a computer-generated video of an adult sexually assaulting a toddler. Court documents also alleged that Nacarato’s web history includes searches for “kiddy carnival” and other graphic searches.
The Boone County court has denied bond for Nacarato, describing him as “a danger to the victims and the community.” Court documents say he has also previously violated a protection order and that he’s resisted arrest before.
