Good crowds are expected at Friday afternoon and evening’s Columbia College annual holiday lighting celebration on Bass Commons.
Today’s event is from 4:30-7 pm on Bass Commons, behind Rogers Gate at 10th and Rogers streets. The tradition was started 28 years ago in 1996 by President Emeritus Dr. Gerald Brouder and his wife, former First Lady Bonnie Brouder. You will see tens of thousands of lights at places like Hughes Hall, St. Clair hall, Dorsey hall and Adkins-Holman student commons.
Columbia College spokesman Kevin Graeler says the event will include child-friendly activities and complimentary food and hot drinks. You’re invited to attend.
