Club members presented the check to Mayor Barbara Buffaloe and Parks director Gabe Huffington at the recent council meeting. Parks and Recreation praises the Cosmo Luncheon Club’s generosity, noting they are longtime supporters of the Parks Department.

Columbia Parks and Recreation says the new 17,000 square foot playground will replace the one that’s currently there and will welcome children of all abilities. Funding will also come from the voter-approved park sales tax, other private donations and potential grants.
