The Columbia city council meeting on Monday night will have a different setup because of COVID-19 concerns. Some council members may check in remotely.
If you want to make a public comment, you can do so in writing by 4 p.m. Monday. You can still go to the meeting in person, but keep good social distancing protocol.
The council plans to vote on several emergency measures tied to COVID-19, including $90,000 in forgivable loans for small businesses in town. Each eligible business could get up to $5,000 from the city. There’s also a vote on a delay in processing building permits for new construction, as part of a relatively full agenda.
