The Columbia City Council on Monday night is holding a public hearing for another roundabout on the south side of town.
It would go at the intersection of Sinclair Road and Route K/Old Plank Road.
The city says it’s getting ready for more homes in that area, and the new middle school on Sinclair Road in 2020.
The roundabout will cost about $1.25 million, but MoDot is paying for half of it. Columbia Public Schools is contributing $169,723. That puts the expected cost for the city at $453,465.
Construction is set to start in the spring of 2020.
The city council in November 2018 approved new roundabouts at Sinclair and Nifong, and Nifong and Old Mill Creek Road.
