The Columbia City Council has once again put off approving regulations on short-term rentals like Airbnb.
Members voted Monday night to refer the bills to the planning and zoning commission. That commission will meet and hold a public hearing March 5. The council will weigh in again March 16.
Officials are trying to decide what limits there should be on short term rentals in residential neighborhoods. They also are looking at whether the rules should change if the owner is going to be in the home during the rental.
