Columbia Dollar General catches fire for second time in three weeks

A Columbia Dollar General suspiciously catches fire for the second time in three weeks.

Heavy smoke started coming out of the building on Flanders Court near Clark Lane just after midnight Monday. It took an hour for fire crews to control the fire.

Firefighters and police are still investigating the cause of the fire.

The same Dollar General caught fire on May 11, sustaining about $600,000 in damage. Two teenagers were detained and accused of first-degree arson in connection with that earlier fire.
