Columbia driver behind deadly crash sentenced to 10 years

A Columbia driver who killed a pedestrian in 2019 got a ten-year prison sentence on Wednesday.

Regine McCracken pleaded guilty in March to involuntary manslaughter and more for her role in the accident on Grindstone two years ago. Her car crashed into Randall Siddens and a police cruiser. The 33-year-old Siddens died from his injuries months later.

Investigators said McCracken was speeding and on a video chat while driving.
