A Boone County Fire Protection District vehicle slid off the road early Sunday morning.
The fire truck was headed north on the Rangeline on-ramp to Highway 63 in response to an emergency. The truck lost control as it slid on some ice, causing it to slide off the right side of the road before flipping onto its side. The vehicle then slid down an embankment and into some trees.
A passenger in the fire truck, 19-year-old Cameron Spalding, had a minor wrist injury.
