A Columbia man has pleaded guilty to having illegal guns and ammo stolen during a burglary.
Deangelo Joe, 24, admitted on Thursday to being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition.
Columbia police got a call about shots fired late on July 11 at The Links apartment complex on Clark Lane. Joe ran when he saw the cops and hid in an apartment for about a half hour before surrendering.
Investigators say they found several guns in the apartment, and ammo and a spent shell casing in his pants pocket. Some of it was reported stolen in a burglary a few days earlier.
Joe already had a couple burglary convictions. He is looking at up to ten years in federal prison when he’s sentenced.
