Columbia Police have arrested a man for Sunday night’s homicide in the 3800 block of Pinecrest drive. That’s west of Brown Station road.
CPD investigators say 21-year-old Samuel Brotherton of Columbia has been arrested for first degree murder and armed criminal action.
Police say the victim, 64-year-old Rollin Thompson, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Brotherton is currently in the Boone County jail. Charges have not been filed yet.
