Kidnapping and domestic assault charges for a Columbia man.
Wilmer Devila-Lopez is behind bars in Boone County after a woman said he beat her up, and threatened to kill her and her family.
Deputies heard the story from the emergency room early Tuesday morning.
The woman said she was riding in a car with the 28-year-old Columbia man.
She told deputies he punched her multiple times and choked her during an argument.
Court documents said she then broke a window out of the car and tried to escape, but Devila-Lopez pulled her back inside by her hair.
He says, she flinched and hit her own head on the window.
