Columbia man facing federal charges after SW Missouri chase

A Columbia man accused of leading cops in southwest Missouri on a high-speed chase is now facing a federal drug charge.

Prosecutors say Kenneth Fredenburg sped away from a traffic stop south of Springfield on Sept. 25. He allegedly hit 120 miles an hour before driving through a yard in Ozark and crashing into a tree and running off. He was caught in Springfield on Oct. 22.

Investigators say they found more than 80 grams of meth and digital scales in the car. The new charges against Fredenburg, 33, came down on Tuesday.
