Columbia man jailed without bond, after being charged in deadly DWI crash

A Columbia man charged with felony DWI in a recent crash that killed a local teenager has been arraigned in Boone County Circuit Court.

24-year-old Duncan James McCracking is also charged with armed criminal action. McCracking was arraigned via video on Monday afternoon.

McCracking allegedly ran a red light in late October at Providence and Route K, crashing into 19-year-old Ashley Footer’s vehicle. Footer died later at a Columbia hospital.

McCracking is jailed without bond this morning. Online court records show the court has denied bond for McCracking, saying “there are no monetary or non-monetary conditions to protect the community.”
