A Columbia man has copped to having a gun, while being a drug user.
Richard Jones pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to charges stemming from a June 24th shootout on Columbia’s Rice Road.
Jones admitted to firing several rounds from his AR-15 style rifle into the air that night.
Police searched his house and found the gun, along with marijuana and drug items.
Jones could spend up to 10 years in prison for the crimes.
