Columbia’s mayor is alerting the public about an AI-generated video of her that used her Friday video and turned it into something else.
Mayor Barbara Buffaloe made a Facebook post about the AI-generated video. She encourages residents to follow official pages of government, institutions, elected officials, news media and other organizations to receive information.
The mayor says if you see something that looks inaccurate, check the source. Mayor Buffaloe also says you can report posts that you believe violate community standards.
The mayor also thanks the local resident who notified her about the AI-generated video.
