Columbia moped driver killed in collision on Rangeline

Columbia Police are still investigating that deadly collision involving a moped that happened Monday night on Rangeline.

CPD investigators say the moped operator was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Rangeline Monday night at about 9, when it collided with a Ford Escape that was traveling northbound. Columbia Police say the moped driver, 64-year-old Terry Walker, was thrown from the vehicle and died from his injuries. The driver of the Escape suffered moderate injuries.

CPD investigators that witnesses saw two unidentified passengers running from the Escape. CPD describes its investigation as ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers at (573) 875-TIPS.
