Columbia motorcyclist pleads guilty in deadly 2018 crash

A Columbia motorcyclist will spend 15 years in prison after a crash last year.

Aaron Monroe pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter Monday, which was a reduction from the original 2nd-degree murder charge.

Monroe was on his motorbike when he ran a red light on Paris Road in Columbia in April 2018.

That caused a crash, which fatally injured his passenger Michele Groves.

Police say Monroe was intoxicated at the time.
