Well-known Columbia musician and Mo-X owner Norm Ruebling has passed away, after a battle with cancer.

The Pierpont General Store is praising Norm on its Facebook page, saying he was much more than an incredible musician. The Pierpont General store describes Mr. Ruebling as a friend, a giver, a storyteller and “one of those people who made every room feel warmer the second he walked in.” They say Norm brought people together and had a big heart.

He also attended many events involving Columbia Public Schools (CPS), including the groundbreaking for the Columbia Nature School.

Mo-X Doc and Norm Direct says a full obituary and details about a celebration of life will be forthcoming.
