There was a good turnout at Monday afternoon’s dedication event to celebrate the completion of the $31-million McBaine water treatment plant project.
Columbia Mayor Barbara Buffaloe and Utilities director Erin Keys spoke and tours were provided as well.
Columbia voters approved the project in a 2018 water ballot initiative. The plant was built in the 1970s.
