Columbia’s police chief has called a press conference for Friday morning to discuss internal changes that she says will address the consistency and accuracy of data on crime statistics and CPD’s use of force reporting.
Police chief Jill Schlude will brief reporters at 10:30 at city hall. The 2024 crime statistics report is expected to be posted on the city’s website today as well.
