Columbia police investigate gunshot reports in apartment building

Two people from the same north Columbia apartment building report a gunshot within their homes.

Police say they responded to two units above and below each other on Leeway Drive near Brown Station Road at around 9:10 p.m. Sunday. The downstairs resident said a gunshot went through his ceiling and grazed his leg. He did not need medical attention. The upstairs resident said someone broke into his place while he was gone. He said he found a bullet hole in his floor and some items were missing from his place.

There is no info on suspects yet.
