Columbia police investigate gunshots near Walmart, Hyvee

Shots are fired in one of Columbia’s busiest shopping areas.

Police say someone shot a gun at about 8 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of the Walmart on West Broadway. Officers learned about more gunshots right after that across Broadway at the HyVee gas station.

There is no word anyone was hurt or anything was damaged. No arrests have been reported yet.
