Columbia post office to be named after Wyatt

Downtown Columbia’s post office will have a new name soon.

President Trump on Friday officially signed a measure into law re-naming the downtown post office after Sterling Wyatt. He was killed while serving in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan in 2012.

“This local hero is certainly due this honor, as he gave his life for his country,” said Missouri Republican Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler, who pushed the bill.

No word yet on when the ceremony will be held at the Columbia post office to mark the name change.
