Columbia Public Schools to start school year with mask requirement

Columbia Public schools will require everyone in district buildings to wear a mask to begin the school year.

The district announced the rules Friday. Starting on Monday, all students, faculty and staff will have to wear a mask indoors and on school buses, regardless of vaccination status. Masks will not be required outdoors.

Classes start for most CPS students on Tuesday, Aug. 24.
