Friday is your opportunity to see plans about Columbia Regional Airport’s proposed parking lot expansion. An interested parties meeting will take place from 3-4 this afternoon at City Hall.

The project will provide an additional 93 parking spaces to accommodate growth from the new terminal building, which is under construction. It also includes six accessible parking spaces, lighting and storm sewer work. You’ll see preliminary plans and drawings and have a chance to speak to staff.

The project’s cost is $551,000, and is being paid for by enterprise revenue and transportation sales tax.

The project coincides with the $23 million new COU terminal project: 93 new parking spaces will be added, along with improved lighting.
